Cosmopolitanism Defended
Kwame Anthony Appiah had an excellent and elegant defense of cosmopolitan liberalism in the New York Times magazine last Sunday: “The Case for Contamination.” It’s an important statement of a core element of libertarianism and modern civilization. (My own contributions to the topic include “Globalization and Culture: Homogeneity, Diversity, Identity, Liberty” and “Globalization, Cosmopolitanism, and Personal Identity.”)
