Georgia on My Mind....

tbilisi.jpg Tbilisi
I’m at work on a conference on “Freedom, Commerce, and Peace” to be held later this year in Tbilisi. The Georgian food is so good, especially the khinkali, that I just couldn’t stay away. (Khinkali are basically the largest won tons you have ever seen; they look like they might be creatures brought up from the deepest depths of the Black Sea…which, as I learned, are completely inhospitable to all terrestrial life, due to the high levels of hydrogen sulfide.)

They are a little scary looking.

I enjoyed khinkali in Moscow -- they're great.

But they aren't from the depths of the Black Sea... just wait until the Kooky Krackpot Kultists hear about THIS Palmerian falsehood!

Gentlemen, it is obvious. These are just some kind of pelmeni...oops and I am persona non grata in Tbilisi now I guess...NV

Natalie, you will be banned from Georgia AND Russia.

Pelmeni (from Siberia) are different from khinkali (from Georgia). OK, not different enough for me to tell the difference, but wars have been fought over less.

(Just wait until someone finds out these all originated as Chinese pot stickers.)
