The Strange Irrationalities of U.S. Immigration and Visa Policies

As detailed by a British journalist. Still, weird and bad as they are, they’re generally less awful than the policies of most countries.

As someone who's been personally subjected to them, I can vouch for the 'strange irrationalities' of the US immigration policies. I can't say I've visited a majority of countries, but of the ones I have visited, I think the US takes the cake.

Just as a tiny for instance, other countries I've been to have had a straight-forward process to extend a visitor visa. In the US, there may be such a process, but there is nothing straight-forward about it.

Then again, maybe I'm biased, since the US is also the only country I've tried to visit who has ever refused me entry.
